Innards
The series Innards, as its name implies, represents objects that relate to the organ on our body that is most sensitive to emotions, the intestines. Strong emotions affect the digestive system, hence the expression of feeling "butterflies in the stomach" or "knot in the stomach."
This body of work was born out of the need to face that feeling of "feeling tied up in the stomach."
In this work I have used different materials such as rope, wax, sausage casing, burnt car oil and glass. The different ways of interacting with these materials enriched my process of interaction with my body. The development of the pieces that make up this series has allowed me to unravel these feelings that have been a constant in my daily life.
